Days 145-149

Days 145-149

One hundred miles of wilderness, one hundred miles of sanctuary. Peace for the broken, rest for the weary. We walk through this land in silence, a shared understanding that to break the delicate membrane surrounding this sacred space with our well-intentioned but imperfect words would be a regrettable sin. So we walk the red carpet under our feet to the sounds of red squirrels chattering, rivers rushing, and birds singing holy hymns. Smells of earth and pine fill our lungs. We feel completely alive.

Gin•Gin couldn't have used a better word than "sanctuary" to describe the 100 mile wilderness. The final push to Mt. Katahdin has begun.

I am a filmmaker. I am an adventurer. I believe in children. My friends are obsessed with my beard. I am obsessed with beer. I want to embrace and fully live this life I’m blessed with. I want to be known as someone who loves deeply.

On May 16, 2017 I set out on my dream, the adventure of a lifetime: a 2,189.8 mile trek of the Appalachian Trail. I want to push people to live their dreams and pursue their passions.
