Days 85-90

New Jersey is surprisingly beautiful. The first 20 miles had more interesting features and views than all of PA. The trail through southern half of the state travels over ridges with grand views and hidden lakes. The trail then turns east, descending to bog boardwalks.

Soon I entered NY, which prove difficult to be a bit more difficult than I thought. There were plenty of short but steep rock scrambles. It was tiring but really fun. At one point the trail is less than 50 miles from NYC. In fact you could see the skyline from a couple of the mountains. The only downside was the crowds. I hadn't seen so many people since I started the trail. The thousands of people at Bear Mountain were a bit overwhelming and I was glad cross the Hudson River and enter the woods again.

I am a filmmaker. I am an adventurer. I believe in children. My friends are obsessed with my beard. I am obsessed with beer. I want to embrace and fully live this life I’m blessed with. I want to be known as someone who loves deeply.

On May 16, 2017 I set out on my dream, the adventure of a lifetime: a 2,189.8 mile trek of the Appalachian Trail. I want to push people to live their dreams and pursue their passions.
