Days 68-75

It feels amazing to be halfway through. The weather was brutally hot coming out of Virginia, but has cooled off a bit now. Miles come easy in Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania still feels like the south.

One aspect of the trail that I really like is how it brings so many different people together. I've hiked with a British girl, a family from Kentucky (dad, brother, sister and cat), a few people from NC including one guy who lives 10 minutes from me, Germans, a Russian, Canadians, and a Scotsman. All differences melt away into nothing out here. People are people and that's all that matters. It's beautiful.

I am a filmmaker. I am an adventurer. I believe in children. My friends are obsessed with my beard. I am obsessed with beer. I want to embrace and fully live this life I’m blessed with. I want to be known as someone who loves deeply.

On May 16, 2017 I set out on my dream, the adventure of a lifetime: a 2,189.8 mile trek of the Appalachian Trail. I want to push people to live their dreams and pursue their passions.
